Chinese New Year
The Year of the Ox

____It was another Chinese New Year Celebration
with friends and family enjoying everyone's company. The event started with
an introduction by Sifu Rick on the year of the ox. The demonstration started
with a dedication cermony to Master Y.W. Chang. M.C. was done by Kristi who
did an excellent job. The demo team started with Chen Pan Ling's Tai Chi Form.
The audience was entertained first with a fan form demonstrated by Smantha.
Then, a saber form executed by Sifu Scott. Samantha, next, returned to perform
Bagua Lu Pi Chuan. Sifus Rick and Scott both demoed a praying mantis form
together while Samantha demonstrated Tang Lang Kerowen. Then, Sifu Rick and
Scott demostrated the two man staff versus staff set. This was followed by
the two man spear versus saber set performed by Sifu Rick and Samantha.Finally,
Sifus Rick and Scott demonstrated Chen Pan Ling's Hsing-I set. After
the demo, all in attendance went to inside to eat and talk about
the new year for the school.
